Utility Locating in Safford

GPRS’s office in Phoenix was hired by a client to locate utilities outside a Walmart parking lot in Flagstaff, AZ prior to the installation of a new canopy and signs throughout the parking lot. GPRS utilizes both Ground Penetrating Radar, as well as, your typical electromagnetic locating wand. The area scanned for the canopy was roughly 200’ x 100', just out front of the main entrance of the building. It was very important to have us come out and locate the utilities since there were a bunch of them running through the area that nobody knew anything about. We were able to trace out all of the electrical to the light poles, water, and communication lines in the area. Once all of the lines were identified, we were able to confirm the depths by using GPR to see the lines underground. The picture represents one of the new sign locations that we scanned with the GPR. Call GPRS and we will find all your necessary underground utilities that are blocking your clear route for excavating.

Along with marking all findings on the ground with either pin flags or paint, GPRS also offers a service of collecting all the findings with a GPS and putting it into a Google Earth overlay or CAD for future reference. We can typically have the Google Earth overlay to the customer in 3 to 4 business days.
